The position

As Transportation Manager, you will lead and empower the team to cope with the complex situation of todays’ challenging market, while simultaneously driving continuous improvement and pursue operational excellence.

You will lead a team to provide first class logistics services to our customers in a dynamic market where customers expect high levels of service. Work with local authorities and regulatory compliance, which results in a more complex, strict and changing environment for logistics and transportation management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all outbound shipments execution to domestic and overseas customers at expected service level from the distributions centers in the region (incl KPIs)
• As people manager, continuously develop the team in terms of both logistics knowledge and soft skills to upgrade the team capability to support business growth
• Apply lean and six sigma methodology to continuously search for logistics operations optimization and cost effectiveness opportunities. Improvements are tracked via the global improvement tracker system
• Manage the performance (incl KPIs) of 3rd/4th party logistic providers. Collaborating with sourcing team on freight tender, vendor selection and evaluation
• Introduce state of art logistics system, digitalization & automation application, smart logistics concept to add the competitiveness in the market
• Maintain expertise on logistics know-how and regulations, closely follow up the regulation changes, and ensure compliance with Envalior requirements and local regulations
• Develop logistics and transportation strategy and roadmap that supports future business growth and fits for market trend
• Maintain the correctness and completeness of the transport related master data (routes, carriers, shipping points, etc) in collaboration with the shared service team
• Act as a complaint owner for transport related customer complaints. If required, follow up with the carriers and freight forwarder with complaints to ensure highest quality standards in our process and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor level education or higher, preferably in supply chain management, logistics or purchasing
• Experience working in a managerial role in Logistics/supply chain in multi-national companies
• Solid and in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Logistics
• SAP application experience
• Self-motivated, have high resilience under pressure, learning agility and willing to take extra responsibilities
• A team player and builder, who possesses excellent people management, and conflict resolution skills
