The Position:

As our Category Manager for Logistics Services, you will be responsible for the procurement of indirect spend and the development of strategies for logistics services categories such as ocean transportation and  air transportation. To thrive in this role, you must have a deep understanding of the transportation and logistics market, the procurement industry, and the ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and implementation of new Transport category strategies based on a deep understanding of the Transport market to have direct impact on the shape of a new company.
• Own the entire procurement process from sourcing strategy until implementation and delivery of the results.
• Focus on value creation beyond savings with a continuous improvement mentality.
• Drive your designated spend categories towards success in a responsible and sustainable way with high personal autonomy and mandate.
• Be a strong liaison between Business Group Stakeholders ,Lead Buyers and Category Managers globally.
• Manage supplier relationships and be on top of your game regarding external market developments in your category.
• Develop and lead Supplier Partnering Programs for relevant key suppliers.

The right candidate we are looking for:

• Has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in procurement and/or relevant technical or supply chain discipline.
• Has a deep knowledge and understanding of logistics and transportation with minimum 6 years of work experience.
• Has a experience in and/or knowledge of ocean and/or air transport would be preferred asset.
• Has a strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
• Is collaborative and a team player who is flexible and able to navigate uncertainty.
• Has a capability of working in a fast paced and often changing environment.
• Is fluent in English language and in addition: German or Dutch language would be a plus.
